Terms of service

These terms cover the VinoCache Android app (package com.vinocache.cellar) and this website. By installing or using VinoCache, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What VinoCache is

VinoCache is a personal cellar book: you photograph labels, search a catalog, and keep notes on your phone. It does not sell wine, ship bottles, process alcohol payments, or run a marketplace. Catalog text and drink-window hints are for your own records, not professional advice.

Who may use it

You must be at least 18 and able to form a contract where you live. You are responsible for how you use the app and for any Google account you connect.

Your cellar

You own the notes, photos, and lists you enter. There is no VinoCache cloud account. Optional Google Drive sync stores a backup in your Drive; Google’s terms apply to that account. How to wipe the phone copy and any Drive file: Delete your data. Privacy details: Privacy policy.

The license we grant you

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the app as released on Google Play (or a copy we give you). Do not misuse the service, interfere with other users, or use VinoCache to break the law. We may update or discontinue features. VinoCache™ and the cellar-gate mark are ours; Play, Google, Liv-ex, LWIN, and other names belong to their owners.

Purchases

VinoCache Pro (monthly, yearly, or lifetime) is sold through Google Play. Google processes payment and handles refunds and subscription renewal or cancel under Google Play’s rules. We never see your card number. A subscription renews until you cancel it in Play. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

Third-party sites and LWIN

Links to Vivino, Wine-Searcher, Liv-ex, Google, or similar open in the browser. Those sites have their own terms. VinoCache does not bundle the Liv-ex LWIN database. If you import LWIN from Liv-ex, that file stays on your phone and stays under Liv-ex’s Creative Commons terms. Credit: LWIN © Liv-ex Ltd.

No warranty

The app and site are provided “as is.” We do not promise that OCR, catalog matches, or sync will be complete or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost cellar data, failed backups, or damages from using or being unable to use VinoCache. Some places do not allow these limits; in those places our liability is limited to what the law requires, or to the amount you paid us for Pro in the last 12 months, whichever the law permits.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. The current version lives at myvinocache.com/terms.html.
